Project 'Inside Out' a new mindset for a new emerging world

Project InsideOut seeks to create a new mindset for engaging communities on our urgent climate and sustainability issues. A new world is emerging. As individuals, organizations, and changemakers, we have committed ourselves to transformational change. However, our work is often caught in a cycle between hope and despair, action and inaction, connection and disconnection. To break that cycle, we need to find a new way. This workshop takes participants on a journey of discovery 'what kind of leader are they?' - educator, righter, guide, cheerleader... the 3 A's of anxiety, apathy and aspiration and then we'll do a brilliant listening and assisting exercise as we help each other out with a current challenge.

Urban Ecology of the Tidal Lea & Surrounds

A circular walk exploring the potentials and pitfalls of the urban ecology of this increasingly developed area. Once forgotten, the tidal Lea, now forms part of the so-called 'Arc of Opportunity' with over 5,000 new homes slated for the area over the next 10 years. What does this mean for an area with surprisingly high biodiversity? Join Gino to explore these challenges whilst walking along the tidal Lea from Cody Dock to Twelvetrees Crescent Bridge before heading back through the industrial park and some of its unofficial greenspaces.

The Human Forest Experience

The Human Forest Project is an organism dedicated to helping people regenerate themselves, others and the world around them through the magic of intentional, loving touch. After going through a prolonged discussion and exercises explaining the Forest and its rules (including clear instructions around consent and boundaries) our group is divided. In the forest experience itself we have two groups- our blindfolded trees, the recipients of touch and our critters the givers of touch. Together they create a human ecosystem mirroring natural laws of giving, receiving and reciprocity. Through practicing deep presence, self-awareness and curiosity, the people who attend this event are able to clearly able to communicate the type of touch they would most love to receive. The results are comments such as- “I’ve never felt so safe in myself with someone touching me”. “That was 12 therapy sessions in one hour”. “I haven’t been touched like that in 20 years”. The profits from these events support regenerative projects all over the world including tree planting, cleaning waterways, removing plastic from our oceans and more. —— NOTE- -In this event there is no genital touch or touching of breasts or bums. -People remain clothed. Clothing can be removed but only down to bras and underwear depending on the comfort of participants and the hosts/venue. -Whilst it is a sensual event, participants are focused on giving loving, devotional touch rather than sexually charged touch. -The Trees (the receivers of touch) are always in charge- whatever they say goes. -Anyone can make the choice not to participate at any point. We understand the nature of this event comes with a lot of questions. For more information, please speak with Patrick or Anatolia to find out more.

Mapping Your Trauma Story: From Darkness into Light

Every person born into this world experiences trauma in one form or another. The problem is, we are never taught how to deal with it... as a result, we end up closing our hearts to our selves, to others and to nature. We build up limiting belief systems that are designed to keep us safe, but in fact prevents us from growing into our full potential. As shown by the work of Dr. Gabor Maté, Dr. Tara Brach and many others, trauma holds deep wisdom for each and every one of us to unlock our highest selves. Rather than running away from our trauma, we can hold it, embrace it and transform it into deep power and potential. In this engaging deep dive, we will give each participant space to privately map out the meandering story of their life and identify key traumas that emerged from specific experiences. We will explore a series of modalities inspired by clinical practices to respond to the stress associated to trauma and its' triggers, including: - RAIN by Dr. Tara Brach, PhD - Heart Coherence by HeartMath Institute - Holotropic breathwork by Dr. Stanislov Grof, MD - The Heart Protocol by Dr. Samuel Lee, MD This session is designed to be a safe space to privately explore challenging experiences in your past that may be preventing you from living your best life. We want to honor each individual's unique journey and expressions.

Communicating decentralised empowerment sans jargon

Tell someone: "Decentralised wallet for crypto financial freedom #defi", and be met with a confused look. Proclaim: "Liberty through web3!", to your local caffeine beverage maker and they probably won't be compelled into action. By refining web3 technologies into clearer high-level capabilities, we can brainstorm composing them into new ideas/models. Eg. Forever file storage + conditional money transfer = a will without a middle person. Following from this we can find ways to meaningfully communicate the benefits brought to different communities, events, products and/or businesses. The terrain between web3 jargon, and conceptual 'independence for all' is broad, lets explore :)

Connecting with nature in urban environments

Take a walk to identify and consider the plants often referred to as 'weeds'. The talk will focus on the importance of access to green space for wellbeing, wild food and herbal medicine, the historical interaction of people with plants, pioneer plants in the context of regeneration, how this relates to ecology and all with a little touch of folklore woven through.

Multidimensional Design and the Metaphysics of Touch

‘Multidimensional Design’ is the art of using esoteric/magical techniques to access the unconscious and enhance creativity. We will look at magic symbols hidden in architecture which date back to ancient civilizations. Attendees will learn how to use magic symbols in their everyday lives and to dream up their own sigils to use as aids to their creations. By application of the ideas, we will go on to learn about the ‘Metaphysics of Touch’ – learning techniques that professional bodywork schools do not teach. This focuses on the subtle energies involved in touch and how the mind affects feeling.

Inner growth for outer growth

Summary: Exploring the Psychedelic Map For Change helps you expand your mind, open your heart, and embody transformational leadership – in web3 and beyond. Outcomes: You gain new insights in how everything is indeed connected, realise how you might be complicit in outcomes you say they don’t want, and feel motivated to make personal changes immediately, no matter how small, because this is how we collectively can change the world. Experience: Imagine you walk into a room with lines & images that represent six realms of the reality you construct: self, relationships, work/organisations, humanity, nature, and cosmos. You explore your thoughts and energetic vibrations lead to choices you make every day…that lead to outcomes you like or dislike…this is the world as it is. This is the beginning of a 2-hour immersive workshop experience for 4-40 people. You explore 3 big questions in pairs & crystallise what is most salient to you in that moment. You then choose in which of the six realms your most salient topic is best located. You then move to ‘your realm’ where you explore in small groups what you can change about yourself, that will result in better collective outcomes. Be prepared to let go...of a self-limiting belief. A guiding question could also be: what kind of ancestor do you want to be? The collective experience might reveal powerful insights of the Regen “field”…

The Wellbeing Protocol - Building Community Wellbeing DAOs

We are building a new kind of public good infrastructure that will enable local communities to build power and improve their communities wellbeing on their own terms. In May 2023 we started a New Zealand government funded trial. We're now setting up larger scale trial all over New Zealand and the UK. This will be a 20 minute presentation on our journey, vision, demonstration of the software plus a discussion/feedback
