A big gathering of regens during EthCC 2024

about the event

The Regen Village Brussels

Bringing together all initiatives around regeneration during EthCC in one place for a true regenaissance.

This summer, we are gathering in Brussels to share all the projects we are working on to bring a regenerative future closer to the present.

To practice and embody our values, instead of everyone developing their own side event, we are coming together to create a temporary common that we will share and steward together. We share resources and efforts, and build connections as we co-create this village.

This will result in a weeklong series of events organised by a coalition of regenerative initiatives, with the purpose of bridging connections and cross-pollinating knowledge.

How?

The chaor-dination team will weave together a weeklong co-created programme that represents the full diversity of initiatives working on regenerative topics - whether that is tech or non tech, local or global, tooling or weaving communities, mindfulness or philosophy, researchers or builders. We curate for diversity, gender and age balance, and favour interactive sessions over long presentations.

The GOAL of this event is to create opportunities and connections

Our gatherings are designed to strengthen the relational tissue between common goods, climate action, technologists, artists, facilitators and care takers.

This village will be designed to help us:

  • reconnect, build community and weave a stronger network
  • cross-pollinate, learn from each other and support each other by sharing knowledge and experience in an interactive way. No-one knows as much as everyone.
  • regen, rejuvenate and recharge. We recognise having fun, movement, action and doing, as much as finding stillness, reflection and being to regenerate and connect to life.
  • embrace our differences and move beyond judgement. Diversity is a crucial aspect of a healthy ecosystem. We choose curiosity over judgement.
  • contribute to creating and (re)telling stories of regeneration, shared responsibility and kinship. We are all crew. We all have a role in the story and we are conscious of our impact.

Show your interest in joining by filling out the form here.

  • Offer an event organised (and branded and financed) by your community or organisation (e.g. a drink, a lunch, a pizza night, a networking for a specific group …)
  • Offer a creative workshop or hands on session (create art, make seedbombs, tour in Brussels, hands on web3 onboarding, yoga session …)
